CBM Prominent at National Mentoring Summit

As a supporting organization, CBM National played prominent roles at the National Mentoring  Summit on January 24 in Washington, D.C.

During the Opening Session, CBM mentor/mentee pair David Cunningham and Chad appeared in a video and then appeared on stage to kick off the two-day event.

During the Summit Workshops, Jimmie Wright, CBM National Board Secretary and CBM Columbia, S.C., Chapter President, and Jaquia Bridges, Program Manager, CBM CARES® Columbia, presented to a packed room a discussion on recruiting, training, supporting and retaining black male mentors. During the presentation, Jimmie shared that CBM CARES Columbia has recruited 120 mentors, with a 90 percent retention rate, and 40 one-to-one mentor matches.
