CBM National takes Part in #GivingTuesday
On Tuesday November 27, 2012, charities, families, businesses and individuals came together to transform the way people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season. Concerned Black Men National was pleased to participate in #GivingTuesday, a campaign that created a national day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season. It celebrated and encouraged charitable activities that supported nonprofit organizations.
How CBM National is Participating:
Within our three divisions of Parent and Family Services, Volunteer and Mentoring Services and Youth and Preventions Services we developed three different avenues for giving time and or resources.
-For Parent and Family Services we’re accepting donations (monetary, clothing for our Fatherhood Initiative)
-For Volunteer and Mentoring Services we’ll be accepting applications on #GivingTuesday for CBM CARES® mentors and SLAM tutors/volunteers
-For Youth and Prevention Services we’re open to people sharing their gifts and talents with our SLAM program on #GivingTuesday
Though #GivingTuesday is over, if you’re still interested in participating or donating your time, or know someone who would be, please email Dale Coachman, communications manager at firstname.lastname@example.org, thanks!
