The following employment opportunities are available with Concerned Black Men - National Office. These positions are based in the CBM National Office located in Washington DC.

DIRECTOR, VOLUNTEER AND MENTORING SERVICES
(CBM Volunteer and Mentoring Services Division)

This executive will be responsible for leading CBM’s Volunteer and Mentoring Services Division. The qualified candidate will coordinate and develop CBM’s “best practice” mentoring and volunteer efforts locally in DC and nationally. S/he also will work directly with the Executive Director on CBM’s national boys of color collaborations and a national mentoring conference. The newly created position demands someone with supervisory experience and a proven history of developing successful mentoring and volunteer strategies. The successful candidate also will demonstrate a record of achieving and exceeding program goals and objectives at other nonprofits. Excellent writing, analytical and communicative skills, and a strong work ethic, also are required. The ability to multi-task and assist senior management with crucial assignments beyond divisional responsibilities is essential. PROGRAM COORDINATOR/CASE MANAGER
(CBM Parent and Family Services Division)

Job Summary
The Program Coordinator/Case Manager will coordinate individualized service plan activity for persons enrolled in projects assigned to Concerned Black Men - National Organization Parent and Family Services Division. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a commitment to high quality service delivery and be responsive to meet consumers’ needs across service areas. The Program Coordinator/Case Manager should be organized, efficient, and be able to demonstrate the ability to meet productivity standards as defined by project goals and objectives. He/she should also be willing to adapt to diverse roles to meet the various program needs within the Division. The Case Manager will have the primary responsibility of providing case management services including (but not limited to) connecting consumers to community resources such as housing, employment, daycare and other social service supports as defined by the project participant's individualized services plan (ISP) .

Qualifications

1. At least one (1) year of social work, direct social services, or human services experience;
2. Prior case management experience is highly preferred;
3. Knowledge of community resources within the Washington DC metropolitan area desired.

MENTOR SPECIALIST/ PROGRAM ASSOCIATE
(CBM CAPITAL CITY CARES© MENTORING PROJECT)

Job Summary

The Mentor Specialist/ Program Associate will have the primary responsibility of facilitating mentor recruitment, monitoring and maintenance of mentor/mentee matches as part of CBM’s Capital City Cares Mentoring Initiative. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a commitment to high quality, responsive services to meet projects needs across service areas. The Mentor Specialist should be organized, efficient, and be able to demonstrate the ability to meet productivity standards as defined by project goals and objectives. He/she should also be willing to adapt to diverse roles to meet the various program needs within the organization.

Qualifications

1. At least a Bachelor’s degree, in social services or human services related fields preferred;
2. Experience working with youth within both school and community settings.
3. Experience with or knowledge of school-based, one-to-one mentoring programs;
4. Strong community outreach skills; 5. Strong oral and written communication skills;
6. Strong interpersonal skills;
7. Ability to use good problem solving techniques;
8. Attention to detail; good record keeping skills;
9. Strong teamwork skills;
10. Knowledge of the local service area.
